Process. Get the container put 8 tsp of salt sugar or borax and put half cup water in container stir Intel it is a saturated mixture then pick up pipe cleaner and peg the pipe cleaner and let sit in saturated mixture.

Process. Get the container put 8 tsp of salt sugar or borax and put half cup water in container stir Intel
it is a saturated mixture then pick up pipe cleaner and peg the pipe cleaner and let sit in saturated
mixture.



Results: Borax was the successful experiment and had formed crystals around all the pipe cleaners.
The Crystals have grown about 5 mm off the pipe cleaners.

Results:Nothing happened with the experiment and no crystals were formed the sugar mixture did
not grow at all it just saturated the pipe cleaners.

Results: Not much happened with this experiment the salt crystals it did not form any crystals at all.

Th salt mixture only saturated the pipe cleaners like the sugar mixture.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Definition: A technique for separating the different parts of a mixture / solid using liquid.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials;

1. Container
2. Filterpaer
3. Liquid H20


Process:

Step 1:Draw a line across 2cm from the top of the filter paper and fold then do the same on the bottom 4cm put black green red dots on the 4cm line fill container up just so the water touches the paper.


Findings: What happened? The colours raced to the top of the paper and spread.

Reflection: What have I learnt from this experiment? That paper and ink make the ink spread.

What did the colours do? Race to the top of the paper.
Did the colours mix together? Yes they did sort of.

States Of Matter

Aim: To observe water as it changes from a solid to a liquid to a gas.

Equipment: Bunsen burner, tripod, gauze mat and a Beaker

Method: Half full the beaker with ice than light the Bunsen burner after turning the gas on and the record the temperature of the water or ice .
