Wind Racer

Aim: To make a wind-racer with materials to go the longest distance.

Method: Use newspaper as a sail then strengthen it with cardboard, then we used skewers to strengthen the newspaper so it dint bend around so it stayed straight and wind hit it evenly.

Results:

What forces were acting on it? Gravity - Because it dint fly into space. Push - As the air from the leaf blower pushed the wind racer forwards. Friction - Friction slowed it down as it dint slide forever. Support - As the wind racer didn't fall through the earth.

Why did it slow down? Because when it goes it hits a wind going towards it and slowing it down after the leaf blower range could not reach the wind racer

Conclusion:.

Did it work: Yes it did work my team's wind racer went  the longest distance.

What would you do differently? Another of newspaper to make it stronger and go for longer.
