My Discovery Task

In health this term we have been working on 5 big questions, we had to choose our 5 questions, answer our 5 questions, find 3 strategies to help the problems, present our work. It was challenging when we were trying to find out our 5 big question answers. I coped with the challenge by trying harder and trying to do it an easier way to understand it. I worked well by myself which helped me not get distracted. Next time I will concentrate so I can get the work done faster. I am really proud of how much work I have done. Link to quiz KAHOOT

Sphero Project

In Digital Techonlig this term we have been making a project to be used with Spheros this has includded coding and being creative to make the project. 1. My project my teammate and i chose was to make a vehicle that the sphero drives, I was inspired to do this by a old student that had made something similar before so i was inspired to do this. 2. How I done it - I rolled up a4 pieces of paer to make a strong chassis ghen cut them to size and used hot glue to put it togethor. 3. My personal report on this project is not the best as I was very distracted and didnt to my work I was supposed to do.

Coraline - Lighting and Colour

In Coraline there are extreme lighting and colour differences between the real world and the other world. When we first see the real world it’s grey and dark. It is shown as this boring place that Coraline lives in. When we are introduced to the other world it is bright, colourful and welcoming. This place is vibrant, full of colour, and is presented as the fun place. Then by the end of the film and bright warm colours of the other turn into blinding purple and greens. The colour palette changes while still keeping the bright colours of the other world, it’s still darker as the other world is falling apart. At the end of the film we are back in the real world. Instead of it being grey and dull, it’s brighter while still keeping the muted colour palette.

Geometry Algebra

In maths we have been learning about geometry, angles, symmetry, algebra - speed, formula and algebra equations. Here is a presentation on speed. To do this we have been using paper planes and seeing when they land and we time that and then divide it and that makes a ...metres per second.


I have enjoyed this hurumanu as i enjoy amths i didnt enjoy it at the start as i did not understand the algebra

Voltage: 

Description

Voltage, electric pressure or electric tension is the difference in electric potential between two points, which is defined as the work needed per unit of charge to move a test charge between the two points.

Current:

An electric current is a flow of electric charge in a circuit. More specifically, the electric current is the rate of charge flow past a given point in an electric circuit. The charge can be negatively charged electrons or positive charge carriers including protons, positive ions or holes.

Aim: To create voltage out of a lemon.

• Method: Roll the lemon out so the inside is liquidy
• Stick a piece of zinc and copper into the lemon.
• Connect the lemon to a voltmeter

Results:

Our lemon made 0.9 volts. When we changed the positions of the zinc and the copper it made no difference so our lemon only made 0.9 volts 

Creative Manufacturing

 In creative manufacturing we have been working o using the laser cutter to make key chains/dog tags. We have been using tinker cad to create the designs the using Laser Works V8 by maker space to get it ready to be cut we have been edging, cutting  Acrylic Plastic and Medium Density Fire boards. Here is a photo of a design i have made on tinker cad this design is inspired by Mad Mike Whiddett with his rotary's and his logo.

Chicken Stir Fry

 This week for practical in Home Economics we made a chicken stir fry. This was a simple meal to make we just had to cut he vegetables cut the chicken breast. First we cut the vegetables and chicken then grabbed honey and soy sauce to make a honey soy marinate after that we added the onion and chicken to cook and once the chicken was cooked, we added the other vegetables broccoli, peas, corn, carrot and the chilli. Then we set the noodles to cook and once they were cooked we put the noodles in the pan with the chicken and vegetables and mixed it through and then it was ready to be served and eaten.

DTE Introduction

As a introduction in DTE we are required to make a info graphic about ergonomics.

  

Ergonomics is about posture while working at a computer sitting at a desk I have included dome basic facts to ergonomics and helping your posture while you are using your computer.  

We also used code.org which we used to experience some easy code to making games. Likes of flappy bird basketball mine craft. 

Pita Pockets

Today in Home Economics we done our first practical and we done something quick and easy we made simple pita pockets.

Ingredients

• Pita Pockets
• Ham
• Carrot
• Cheese
• Onion
• Lettuce
• Sauces of your choice

Today in our first practical lesson in home economics we made something very quick and easy and delicious. First we grabbed our ingredients and chopped and grated them and got them prepared to be packed into our pita pockets, this was a fun easy and fast meal to make and could be done within half and hour and nothing needs to be cooked so it is a nice fresh healthy meal made from simple ingredients.

My Health And Safety Knowledge

In Home Economic we were required to make a Word Art, Explain Safety in the kitchen and food safety, Hygiene in the kitchen.

Safety In the kitchen means a lot in a practical (Cooking experience) Either if it is being safe with sharp objects etc Knifes, Forks. 

And being safe with food making sure it is cooked right and not raw to prevent likes of food poisoning and making sure the food has been stored correctly if it is supposed to be cooled or frozen.

Hygiene plays a big part in cooking like washing your hands making sure you do not get any bacteria into the food you are making.
